Famous Home Educated People Part 2

The subject of famous people who were home educating is much covered. Tricky to be an exact science as "schooling" covers a long period in the lives of humans and, in addition, school is a very recent invention in human history.

And then, just as now, the reasons for this choice exist at both ends of the spectrum.

But as a place to collect articles and so on this page will be handy - S LOVES to know if someone was home educated so this is as much for her benefit as any other.

Agatha Christie

“I suppose it is because nearly all children go to school nowadays and have things arranged for them that they seem so forlornly unable to produce their own ideas.”
Agatha Christie

I'd love to have something really comprehensive on this area - in depth on the individuals - I wonder if I might organise a little blog carnival on famous home edders see if a few people fancy researching it - might be fun to see what turns up.

Maybe some people in our community have access to some of the living famous alumni and could interview them about home ed? Or hot tips for future success?

Here is another post

Did you read that Charlotte Rochez interviewed him Mel? I never knew you lived next door to him - How cool is that!

I guess he was home ed by default rather than total choice but it certainly seems to have suited him.
