It's 3pm the regular blogging window: I like the perspective offered here. Unlike Sartre I do not think it is too early or late to do anything. It is a reflective midway point!
It can't be the first time a blog featuring Hama beads has inspired this title track. Hammer Time!
As I iron the Trio's creations I can't be the only Mother who has thought about those trousers. Yes, those trousers.
When one of your offspring does something that totally challenges your assumptions about them it is so refreshing and so it has been with E and hama beads this past 24. He has made several free form imaginative creations and, moreover and more importantly, really enjoyed the process. I didn't think that the fiddly patient task would suit him at all and I was wrong.
Last night was the final evening of just 4 of us as TDO will return from Sheffield later tonight. Another movie. This time "Alpha and Omega." O and I didn't last til the end.
Today E has read the whole of the first book, Tim Catchamouse, in the Puddle Lane scheme - He tells me he can't wait to read and that he wishes it would hurry up and happen. It's great to be around to be able to go with their flow. Knowing some of the words from other activities we have done such as Peter and Jane is a real boost. If we can find a daily groove I think he'll be there.
During our brief non hibernation 10am-2pm window we have today been to Fishers Farm. Yes! Again. I suggested other softplays, the beach but Fishers was the unanimous vote.
As the only customers at Small Animal Handling the super staff let S & E see the chinchilla, Doodles, close up. We talked about how they used to be used to make coats and are part of the squirrel family and E said
"look my hand has sunk right into the fur!"
We also had a Ghost Train ride - A few quick bursts of outdoor action before inside for a warm. It has turned bitterly cold today. The photos of Fishers are not great. Gloves and touch screens not a fab combo.
E was keen to check out the skate park in Billingshurst on the way home. It was so so slippery. Shortly after taking this photo he fell over and we headed home. In fact it's been an arnica shape of day all round. So it goes.
My questions for google today have included:-
How long is a light year?
What's the real name for pruning of the fingers in the bath and swimming pool?
S's hair is looking fabulous thanks to conditioner.
O's lion hat and paw gloves continue to attract lots of comments. A dog we saw at the skate park was scared of him!
It's 15:15 - I'm being called.
See you tomorrow

We were discussing pruny fingers the day before yesterday - and then we spotted this on BBC News yesterday:

Short bursts outside in the chill - just a few more weeks hibernation, and then spring and those lovely long days again :)
Hey. That's really cool thanks for sharing :-)
