Saturday Love

Another packed but relaxed too cool for school 24 in which S has been on a dog walk with Edmund; the dishwasher has been fixed, we made the, highly anticipated trip to the fun fair, and have visited the Wildfowl and Wetlands trust in Arundel.

The trio really enjoyed the fair, I tried hard to focus on how much I enjoyed it as a child rather than how muddy it was and what a "waste" of money it is! They really enjoyed spending their money from G & G at the hook a duck and afterwards we all helped out at the allotment for a bit.

Today's title tune was a fair ground classic in my youth. Thanks to my recent gym membership I even knew some of the tunes last night.

They were shattered afterwards which meant TDO and I were able to watch a lovefilm (The Girl Who Kicked The  Hornet's Nest You know I  love my subtitles) with a glass of wine and a graze box.

This morning we returned to the Wildfowl and Wetlands as last week on our visit S was really keen to do the boat trip but E wasn't and given that work on the stunt double is still ongoing it was not possible for me to split in two. As it was E decided to come on the boat trip after all and we all got very wet from the water above not below together. This is great as it means we will be able to go on the boat trip again in future.

At the weekends in July Professor Bones is in charge in Sandpiper theatre and S enjoyed the herbivores and carnivores talks (both of which were half and hour long.) She was able to go in with TDO whilst I took the, rather scared, boys out to get rained on all over again!

On our way to the wetlands we called into the library to pick up another DC Super Heroes "My Frozen Valentine" and found that this year's summer Reading scheme "Story Lab" starts today. We will return and sign up on Monday. Last year S had finished the whole scheme before the schools had even broken up for summer holidays.

E has been enjoying looking at the new super heroes lego released at Comicon.

Needing a domestic repair has hiccped operation July Austerity but otherwise just the £2.00 on duck food today and this week's food spend has come in bang on budget ( 5 people for 3 meals for 7 days - shave off a bit of that budget for cleaning products, nappies, wipes, wine and toiletries and that is only a few pounds per person per meal.)
