It's been a very packed 24 since the last post. Late yesterday afternoon during a routine fringe trim O, 3, decided on "boy" hair and then, just as I collapsed in the sofa around 8:30pm, having hardly sat down all day the Marvello roof started leaking as a result of the torrential rain! O fell out of bed last night too, something I don't ever recall him doing before. The domestic joy included the dishwasher packing up leaving me ever so grateful that TDO's planned trip to America is off.
This morning, with Grandma, we have returned, using our home educators National Trust membership, to Petworth House, it really is a true cliche that the more we go more we see, today we looked at one of the The Canterbury Tales original manuscript, and in more detail at the 1592 globe, there is so much marble, the plinths for the sculptures are incredible too and we spent a while talking about a 1st century sculpture with a 3rd century head. 2000 years old. And a painting from the 1400s and Pandora's Box (S knew all about the story already!) The house is so packed with artist masterpieces, both paintings, sculpture and furniture it really is hard to take it all in. We also talked today about how much some of it might be worth. Every time we return there is a different angle to explore.
Afterwards Grandma headed home and we went on to Fishers Farm Park for a whole hour of Sun as the only people in splash attack. After a morning of squabbles the trio played amazingly for a hour in really hot sun designing a water feature.
As a follow on to yesterday's post we have been to FFP 18 times since we rejoined on March 21st this year an average of just over once a week.

S, 7, spontaneously wrote me this note last night. It says "Dear Mum, After Orin's bath please take him to Grandma's room you will find everything you need to get him to sleep. Sapphire." His favourite books, pyjamas and toothbrush were all laid out ready for me!
E and I went to the allotment last night harvesting carrots and peas. The soft fruits continue ripening strangely due to the damp air and so consequently needing pretty instant attention.
New look O - Taking a bit of getting used to!
