Good Woman

A first post holiday home day in which the wind has been at car alarm activation level (not sure that technology was on the Beaufort Scale during my schooling.)  I could say I've done 'nothing' because, apart from a short walk to the butchers, I haven't really been outside but actually until an automated solution appears 7 loads of washing, tumble drying and folding need human interference, if only to clean the filter of all the bits of your clothes the machine creams off, as does mega cooking, 6 litres of chicken stock and 1kg of bolgnaise sauce later the house smells of home and the dormant appliances have seen their holiday end abruptly too.

The temptation to ease back in gradually outweighed by the wisdom of previous experience here! Next weeks gallivants and visits have also been researched and co-ordinated.

A little over three hours at the allotment for TDO listening to radio Le Mans and no doubt wishing he were there and for me a little task of life as the solo adult again after a two week break.

Impressed with the cooking! I do bolognese in vast quantities too and made a huge pot last week. Just seems kinda funny to be making that at this time of year when previously I'd be doing big pots of potato or pasta salad in June.

You are so right! Am hoping for an Indian Summer this year. Feels more Autumn than June.
