Everytime I See You

S said something really funny yesterday that I forgot to note down. O was keen to come in the butchers with me as he likes the metal chain curtain on the door. He was asking S about it and she told him it was to stop flies because "Flies don't respect boundaries."

Just as he fell to sleep last night E said "This was my best day ever ever because I got to play tennis and cricket." I had no idea he had enjoyed it so much at the time.

Been a home Friday today. A Weed morning and TDO took the caravelle as his car is in the garage for a check. A new Wonder Woman book came in the post and we watched some Wonder Woman on DVD (so coincidentally it is set in the Second World War with a Nazi enemy!) after a very windy park walk,  S made a tiramisu, E has played lego and Roman's playmobil. We went back to the park after lunch, bumping into about half of the ten or so people we know who live in our village on the way!

For my own records really a selection of the World War Two bits we have found handy - These books, evacuee paper doll, museums visits, loan box from local museum, films all in the mix. Also struck how many other things S has enjoyed int eh past like The Railway Children, The Lion Witch and Wardrobe,  Bedknobs and Broomsticks film version and The Sound of Music all have a WW2 connection. Joining the dots. She brings it all together in those boxes in her brain Personally I hope S chooses something mythological or futuristic next or maybe just goes along without a specific project for a while.

She is keen to see the Olympic torch when it visits our neighbouring village next month and today I have been investigating the logistics of doing that.

E made a card for a friend of his last night - his drawing and writing is really progressing, sometimes he goes days without doing any then has a little burst of activity. He was up at the favoured 5:15am again today so we had watched Lego Clutch Powers and played word game before anyone else was even awake (well, apart from TDO who was at work)
