Walkin' In Rhythm

Have you ever been somewhere really busy and found it hard to park your car? You've squeezed into to a little out of the way space miles from your destination and headed off to join the fun. When you return sometime later everyone else has left leaving your car alone in a wilderness looking random and out of place. Sometimes that is how living outside the box can feel. It takes time to explain why your car (or life!) is where it is and before you have chance to verbalize the situation several subconscious thoughts have already entered the mind of the observer and you feel behind before you've begun!

Not so tonight though. No such explanations will be needed as it is the day for the monthly adult home ed evening social which is being hosted only 3 miles away from us.  Due to TDOs business trips and other things I haven't attended since I hosted back in February. Looking forward to it.

It seems so different here without E who is at Grandma and Grandie's for a 2 night sleepover. I chatted to him on the phone and he sounded really really happy and bubbly and grown up.

We made it out to the allotment this morning. It stopped raining just long  enough for S and TDO to put up the windsocks my friend Barb kindly gave the children last week. It didn't hold off for long though and is now raining again which means there has been much baking. Pear crumble, more choc chip cookies, carrot and orange soup....It is a Bank Holiday Monday in England today but undeterred the builders working on the loft conversion next door have been installing a staircase so I have had the music up to dance round the kitchen!

O and his ever growing collection of lego cars cars. Following his recent birthday he now owns 5 lego Maters and over 20 cars in total. I haven't update the lego tab on the blog for a while but the current crop of lego cars sets are 8200, 8201, 8424, 9479, 8206, 8426, 8486, 9484, 9481, 8638 & 8487

We've been making pyramids again. E used to like to do this with duplo and play tomb raiders but following the purchase of a new lego Pharaoh's set at lego land last week that contains a sarcophagus the game is back in vogue with the yellow lego acting as the desert sand.
O likes to use the scalextric track for his cars cars to race on (so long as the power is turned off)

Really like the Lego pyramids, piper was really into Egyptian things for a while and we bought her the Playmobil sets. Glad E is having fun on his sleepover-they always sound grown up on the phone when they are away from you?!
