On The Radio

  • The blog has a few new followers. Hello. Thank-You. It goes something like this, everyday I write a short post about mostly home education but also other things that come along, titled after a song that is appropriate to our day with a few photos. So it goes. This is how we roll.

  •  Made it to the gym this morning for exercise and hot tub and then went into town on my own(!?) to collect the next 50p lego set. A batmobile. It is my penultimate Sunday of membership. Thinking we will rejoin in the Autumn as a family. That's the plan. Strangely lost a kilo this week, odd as due to Mum's holiday and O not wanting me to I only made it to the gym once and I have had more than my share of S's delicious tiramisu!

  • Excitement this afternoon as a bee's nest was removed from a  high tree outside of our front bedroom window as the photo shows.
  •  S,7, read Carrie's War yesterday. I picked it up in the library last week as I figured it loosely tied in with the evacuee theme she is pretty interested in at the moment. Before bed I read a chapter to her (near the end!) and it was great. I was rather put off by being forced to read it at some stage in school - the difference between freedom and coercion!

  • There has been more legoing, pricking out of seeds, boat making with corks (you know part of TDO's salary day job involves boat design so I'm hiding away!),  flag making with lolly sticks (no, not for the jubilee!) and finally a new light for the front landing after several months without one.
So, after family trips  Brighton, London, Arundel, Horsham and Petworth last week we have a more friend's social week lined up for this week. Will let you know how it goes ............
