So it goes, What's happened in the 48 hours or so since I last posted?
Made it to the gym on Sunday morning, done and dusted by 9am, a solo gymmer for about the first 40 minutes or so of my workout which suits me :).
The weather has been noteworthy. Rained all day Sunday and although sunny a biting cold wind today.
S had a massive fit of temper on Saturday night that was totally out of the blue and unexpected. It was enough to write off our regular family movie night. Sometime later when she had calmed down she ate more than she often eats in a whole day. Growing! Whilst The Daddy One planted out seeds on Sunday afternoon the trio and I watched "Alvin and the Chipmonks." Proper quality mindless vegging! and, as we sat their chuckling away it seemed impossible to recall the events of the night before.
We have been to play soft play in Worthing today. After two days in all of my museum and gallery gallivant suggestions were rejected in favour of jumping!
We wondered into town whilst we were there as to have a look at books, hunting for new ideas and swimwear for me but E had a meltdown in the book shop thanks mainly to the fact it seemed to be also trying to be a toy and sweet shop. In the end the trio did choose a new book each (delayed from World Book Day) but by then any joy had pretty much evaporated. Guilt strikes when I read of the death of the High Street but once again I find myself coming home and buying what I really wanted more easily and peacefully online.
Have ordered a new version of Peter and Jane 4a for E and in the meantime have been really focusing on his "non-noun" words getting them really tight. The, admittedly very old, version we had was trying this new format of breaking up text with pictures that was just proving too much for him.
Been really, really strict at 1,000 calories on Saturday, Sunday and today. (2,000 calories per day it the suggestion for staying at a static weight.) My calculation is slightly different (as is every one's in reality) because of breastfeeding baby small but I suspect the reason I didn't shift any weight last week was because I was edging closer to 1,500 than 1,200 with all the squeezes of orange juices in my carrot soup and apples eaten in the car adding up.
The Daddy One, who is looking really slim on the basis of being very good 2/3rds of the time, is keen for normality (i.e beautiful smells) to return to the kitchen and personally my preference would be to have reached my goal by April 24th then have a month of normal eating and still gyming rather than extending the diet any longer (it will have been 4 months dieting by then but my 3 month gym contract runs to end of May.)
Oddly eating less is really more expensive than eating more. Mainly because carbohydrates like bread, pasta and rice are much cheaper than meat fish and salad!
We finished painting the gold stones on Sunday and I forgot to take any photos today.
Called into our library on the way home to collect more ordered in titles. The librarian told me that the delivery van drove off with its doors open on Friday dropping boxes of books out the back (fortunately not our Terry Deary's True Crime or Dennis the Menace's)
