Very neat Saturday today.
The Daddy One took E, 5, and O, 2, to Bury Hill Whiteways woods followed by Fishers Farm after breakfast whilst S, 7, and I made birthday cakes for Barbie and walked down to the library via the shops to buy some Barbie sprinkles. S and I then came home and watched some Roman Mysteries and pink iced the cakes. This is why the photographs of the boy's morning are in a different league to the usual snapshots.
This afternoon happy birthday was sung to Barbie (in S's eye the cakes were eaten, O, 2, did several paintings (a new found joy for him) and E taught me, very patiently, how to play this lego star wars game on the lego website.
E and O enjoy some chocolate cakes with pink icing and sprinkles :-)
S has blasted me with questions this morning.
"Why are there no volcanoes in England?"
"How old is the oldest person ever to live?"
"At what age to do you stop growing and start shrinking?"
We also spent some time discussing Barbie's 53rd birthday. Was it the anniversary of her design? manufacture? sale? March 9 will be easy to remember for next year as it the day after Grandma and Grandie's wedding anniversary.
So often when I am out with the trio it is a struggle to be fully attentive to everyone so consequently it felt like a real luxury to browse books and work through "Who Next?" together. We have ordered in the next Molly Moon.
Happy Birthday Barbie

I hope to look as good as Barbie when I'm 53 ;)
Love those cakes too! x
Looks like fun! Tomorrow is Chloe's 18th birthday. There's a milestone.
Party on!
Cakes look yummy :) S needs to chat with Piper-she is an expert on Barbie. I had the whole history of how Barbie was invented today on our woodland walk plus Piper has informed me she doesn't want any presents for her birthday or Christmas just money-she's saving up for an original Barbie. Their around £8000, gulp...
