Thinkin' bout you

O doing some scissor practise at our friend's Muddy Sandy Life's house. I must confess to being a little green about that lovely storage system behind him :)

Thinking about you

So it goes. 24 or so of those 60 minute wheels have past since the last post. Without the daily discipline of 15 minutes or so blogging our home educating lives it would be hard to spot small changes or chart developments but the blog is, after 11 months, building up into a comprehensive, confidence boosting record. The fact that so many people enjoy reading it too is a big bonus. Thank-You for your support.

E, 5, read to The Daddy One when he came home last night. He easily recognises over 100 words instantly now.

20 minutes power kip on the way home was all it took to power Baby Small well past nine o clock last night. E and I cosied under the covers and read Stanley in Space from the Flat Stanley series.

S did some of the Rosie sticker book that she chose at Pallant House with The Daddy One. Late Night Learning.

At 4pm the house looked very tidy ready for cleaning today but by this morning you would never have guessed.

Everyone was keen for a Home day today, I wouldn't normally schedule three days out in a row but sometimes it just works out that way. We didn't make it to Brighton as planned but went for 2 hours at soft play at Fishers Farm, which featured some jumping and then this.... as I tweeted you can take the home educated children out of the home but you can't.......We were unable to go outside as I forgot O's coat. Doh!

We had some lunch at fishers then headed down to see our Muddy Sandy Life friends in Barnham for marble run, geo mag and wii fun. I have to confess I was a little apprehensive when the wii went on because at Grandma and Grandie's Et leaps around rather dangerously but he was pretty sedate today. Suprising.

As we were driving to Barnham the oil light came on the caravelle which has its MOT next week what is that law called again.

We arrived home to the postman and Reg arranging to come and start painting the kitchen on Monday. There is a 99% chance that The Daddy One will have to return to Texas with work next week and we face the prospect of another Grandma-less week. If it seems that some of my charges are doing the course work for GCSE squabbling at the moment I have no doubt that the change and uncertainty in the air will be contributing to it.

The Daddy One has picked up a silicone mould so it's bath bombs away tomorrow morning with "Smart Sandels" as O has christened our Friday helper.

I often look at photos and feel that we own too many stripy clothes!

I just looked it up on their website Barb as I didn't notice it yesterday and found this http://www.pallant.org.uk/whats-on/exhibitions/current/in-the-delonghi-print-room/enid-marx-the-eve-breuning-gift

It only opened on the 10th you are on the ball!!

It must have been in the room downstairs I am not sure how we missed it.

Sapphire is going back for a workshop at the end of the month so we will look out for it then. Thanks for the tip off.

I really enjoyed Burra yesterday. I have had that "post gallery glow" today :)

I'm always looking at that storage system in our local Ikea too. We don't really need any new as what we have is sufficient. *Sigh* Maybe a shelf will break soon? :-)

I love organised drawers and cupboards and that system really appeals to that part of me. Pity it doesn't do the actual picking up and putting stuff away bit too!

I love having a place to record all our adventures and learning, too. It's so much fun at the end of the year to read over what we've done.
