Bookworm

Bookworm

Bit of early spring strewing slash cleaning going on today started tackling sorting out the first of 5 or 6 chocker book shelves with one of the ones in S's (7) room. Maybe we should get Big Small a kindle....it would be tidier.... Anyway S has read all of these books, minus maybe 2 or 3, some into double digits. She would love to host a book club but I am not sure I could find a way. At the moment I am thinking skype.

Top to bottom left to right five by Roald Dahl, four by Lauren Child, six by Sally Gardner, a few Daisy Meadows, a cluster of Winnie the Witches, some Usborne Greek and Roman legends, a couple of Gwyneth Rees, Famous Five and Secret Seven box set, two J K Rowlings, a Jacqueline Wilson, The Phantom Tollbooth, Now We are Six, a couple of poetry books.

Second shelf a few Paddingtons, a much read Dick King Smith box set, the Amy Tree Charmseekers series, three Agent Amelias, a trio of E Nesbit's, the Just So Stories, a clutch of Anne Fine's, a duo of Eva Ibbotson, Anne of Green Gables, another Dick King Smith, Little House on the Prairie, a couple from the What Katy did series, an Orchard Shakespeare box set so shabby well loved and well thumbed, a Narnia box set (mine from 1981!) And a stray Harry Potter from the gang.

The only two she hasn't read so far from this selection are Anne of Green Gables and Little House on the Prairie but watch this space by next week that could have all changed!

Building bookshelves has been my primary home improvement task since we've been in this house. At this point, I don't think I can find any free wall space.

It is the only non digital aspect of us Frank - We have digital photos, a sonos for music and windows media centre for films - we actually gave away all of our adult books thinking we would use our kindles instead but our collection of children's book just expands!!

From a strewing point of view I am aiming towards filling spaces with more books that haven't been read rather than as a store for already read books iyswim!
