First whole day as a 5 year old here I come! He adores his brand new yellow hoodie. He has been specifically after yellow for a while now. Don't you just love a life out of uniform :o)

The days in between Sapphire and Etienne's birthdays have a limbo feel. Kinda like the period between Christmas and New Year, probably why I woke up this morning thinking of a Pink Panther movies and a tin of celebrations chocolates! The Daddy One has three days off too and he did some Fimo with S this morning which she really enjoyed. As a product it seems to have improved a lot since I was a child.
Regular readers of the blog will know that, between the ages of 7-13 inclusive, my career aspiration was to be a Private Detective so, when S was invited to a detective party for a friend's 9th birthday with the code name agent Sharp Pie I was very excited for her. The Super Star Mum of the birthday girl had done such an amazing job, liaising with local shop keepers to provide a trail of clues for example and sending these name passes out in the post in advance of the big day.
The party was for girls only so I took the boys to beach, first at Littlehampton with their bikes, E is sorted on his two-wheeler now and can start off and turn around himself. He reminded me of explore learning and spending time as the afternoon grew dark until it was time to collect Big Sister.
I forgot to photograph this on the blog yesterday but it is the box that S decorated for E for his birthday. She did it all by herself and all in secret. It is a washing tablets box and she covered all sides in words and pictures. The top one is obviously the cake and candles and she has written the words to the Happy Birthday song. E was keen to organise a gift for S today and amazingly an ebayer who we bought some Barbie bits from in the past contacted us to say she had a blue VW Barbie beetle she had just found and did we want it. She lives in Littlehampton so we swung past to collect it whilst S was at the party in Goring. Perfect. I wonder if he can manage a secret for 24 hours! November is a busy birthday month. 9 months after Valentines Day. I wonder if there is a connection ;-)
