Coming to you Live

You can just see them in the trees. Beautiful autumn colour.

There was a brilliant display at the National Portrait Gallery, on the ground floor, we saw yesterday. Questions were painted on the wall like "What does home smell like?" or "What is happiness?" and then next to the question was a space for answers. Some of the answers were lovely. Next to the happiness section someone had written "My Mum's lap."

We also saw a portrait of King Charles II at age 4 in a long, white gown. He looks so chubby and more like a one year old. S & I agreed he looked a bit like her brother.

Horsham park this morning, a couple of hours meeting friends and playing, a late start as Grandma was here. I was asleep by 9pm last night and didn't wake up till gone 6am. the longest, uninterrupted sleep I have had in ages. Lush!

We talked at the park today about how difficult it is for home educated teenagers to find friends, there are so many younger children in the group, I'm pretty upfront with people now and, if my children form a friendship, I ask the parents if their commitment is long term. We have had enough heartbreak on the that score. Not so today, E saw his next matchbox swap partner in real life and they talked astronomy on the climbing frame.
