After writing several blog posts ago about unsupportive Dads in Home Ed land I feel I should redress the balance and tell you about these great fathers who are promoting unschooling and home education on line.
Home Ed (who was indeed home educated himself and now home educates his own young children)and who could forget Home Ed Heretic
and then I found this on Sandra Dodd's site

Unfortunately, I don't write about unschooling very often on my odd, quirky, very personal blog; but I am definitely a fulltime "radical unschooler" and an enthusiastic supporter of that philosophy. One could search my blog for "unschooling" to find my posts specifically relative to it.
Thanks for including me in this list.
P.S. You link is to my personal page on the familyrun.ning site. That's a nice place to hear unschooling discussions but my blog is singularity.
Thanks for that info Frank - I had intended to make this a longer post but I have been trying to help a lovely lady called Charlotte Rochez who is a student at Cambridge University (but whose home town is only 10 or 15 miles away from us) doing a Phd in The History of Home Education in the England. She mentioned yesterday that gender difference in educational approach of parent was a area she was interesting in taking further so I published it in haste so I could share the links with her.
She has a group on facebook

and a blog

When Sandra Dodd stayed with us last summer she mentioned that she had observed that although Dads can seem slow to come around to the idea of a life out of school that in her experience when they do their philosophy can sometimes overtake that of the mother which I thought was interesting.
And of course Gareth Lewis who wrote Freedom in Education http://thegallivanters.blogspot.com/2011/10/unqualified-education-part-two.html?m=1
Doesn't seem to be a lot of us. Here is another one:

A new addition to Ben's links
This is brilliant! Thank you Katie, Cap'n Franko and Alternicity - this is incredibly useful. It's wonderful to be able to hear about some fathers' experiences.
