Today is my six month anniversary of keeping a blog. That is half a year of noting down our home ed journey including gallivants, reviews of places we have visited and my parenting highs and lows. I agonised about including the lows but my supportive and loyal readers encouraged me to leave them in! What started as a diary to make writing a Local Authority report easier has grown and morphed and left me more confident than ever that "Home educating problems have home educating solutions" and that home education is right for our family.
As of today the number of page views is 18,860. That is an average of about 150 views per day when you factor in that the write up of the autonomous Little Conference and my piece on "Everything you ever wanted to know" have both had more than 500 views.
Today the blog has 41 followers. Thank-You.
and so far our gallivants have been retweeted (jargon for shared on twitter) by Jonathan Macdonald, Guardian 2, Usborne books marketing, DK Publishers, Illy coffee, Pallant House Gallery, Worthing Museum, Intech and several other home ed friends and I know many of you have shared links to the blog on facebook as well. Thanks again. Many people have found out about the option of home educating via this blog and the blog ring for our local group that The Daddy One set up.
