I am a mother of sons this morning, I wonder if that is why a glass lamp has been broken already....
The Daddy One and the Grandie One have headed off to The Festival of Speed in nearby Goodwood. We did book tickets for The Smalls back at Christmas when it was not unusual for two of them to have a mid afternoon zzz in the double pushchair but, as today has rolled closer, halfway through 2011 already, it became pretty obvious that for a variety of reasons it was going to be tricky to sustain them for a whole day outside in the sun. Even at legoland last week, which has a pure child focus, they ran out of gas pretty fast.
They had a late start as The Daddy One called into the dentist first for an emergency repair. Seems the toothache was a painful as he said. £850 painful.
Big Small had already decided that she would like to go and see "Lion, Witch and The Wardrobe" at the Yvonne Arnaud theatre in Guildford with her Grandma so I have the Boy Smalls today. She has read all 7 of the books from my old 1981 box set and seen all the films. The boys & I are going to Fishers Farm in a bit and maybe the library.
I have been to the Festival of Speed before, ten years ago now, back in the 2001 days of corporate entertainment when Veuve-Clicquot was £7 a glass or free by the bottle. Yes, you did read that right, so I don't mind not going today and neither do the boys, they have seen much of their Grandie the last few days and are enjoying playing with the wristbands.
The Smalls have made a list of the gallivanting they would like to do before the school holidays start including a couple of trips to London to the Museums and parks so I am just thinking on how to group their choices together to make the most of our days.
