You've Got the Love
Today I did something with The Smalls that I have never ever done with them before, actually, it is something I have only ever done once before in my entire time on this planet. I took them to a drive though Mcdonalds. Is this the beginning of a mid-life crisis or am still buzzing from the living in the moment vibe of the conference of the weekend? Who knows! But it was great fun, 5 of us, as we had a friend with us today, sat in the caravelle whilst the rain dribbled down the window pains and rattled on the roof eating hot chips and laughing, well only 4 of us were laughing as Baby Small was asleep by the time they arrived. Whilst the rain held off we had a super morning Home Ed meet up at Florence Road swing park, I am not sure if The Smalls are getting better at resolving their differences with friends or if we are just in a groove with a cool bunch of people at the moment but either way it is lovely. I knew The Smalls were hungry and had a touch of post theme park fatigue and hesitant to ask too much of a tired toddler, keen to avoid another tantrum it seemed an easy way to feed us without leaving the car! Are you surprised? I am! Whilst we are not sterotypical, vegan, whole food home educators until today my children had no idea what the golden arches were!
The Smalls Friend has the most gorgeous new puppy called Marley. They were playing so wonderfully after we arrived back at their house that they were invited to stay and were dropped off home later. They had a fabulous time. E told me he likes The Daddy One in their family as he has long hair too. Baby Small really missed them and kept looking for them.
