Camera

S has my parents old digital camera and she really loves taking photos with it. In tech years it is almost antique so the battery runs down fast and the memory card / stick fills up very quickly and has to be emptied.
In the bath tonight I was telling her how my first camera took something called a film that had 24 photos on it and you couldn't see what you had taken until your collected your photos from the developers. When I was about 10 a revolutionary one hour developing service was introduced but it was very expensive and the photos faded. A film was pretty expensive as I recall. Not much change from a £10 for a film and developing. So, in old money that was about £20 worth of photos S took in the garden this afternoon. After the casette tape chat yesterday I am feeling rather old. I am 39 in a couple of weeks and feeling a bit glum about it.

my first camera was a Kodak Disc (which took really rubbish photos !) and my teen is constantly amazed how I ever managed to grow up with so little technology !!
